Friends of Muzee
Muzee Scheveningen has a very active group of members part of the association called Vereniging Vrienden Muzee Scheveningen (VVMS). The association was established in 1974 as the Vereniging Vrienden van het Schevenings Museum. The association has the aim of supporting Muzee in many different ways such as:
- A yearly donation to Muzee
- Helping out during events
- Organising the yearly events Kerstland and Scheveningse Dag
- Holding presentations about traditional clothing from Scheveningen
Besides promoting Muzee, they also promote Scheveningen itself by maintaining and practicing the culture of Scheveningen and also the use of traditional clothing. Asides from these professional tasks, the association is also incredibly social and holds a weekly club evening. During these evenings they prepare for upcoming events and maintain the period rooms in Muzee. They also have yearly outings as a group to maintain their strong connection. In short, they form a very social and unique club of supporters!

Historische en Genealogische Vereniging Scheveningen
Historical and Genealogical Society of Scheveningen (Historische en Genealogische Vereniging Scheveningen)
The HGVS is an association tasked with stimulating, guiding and grouping activities that are associated with studying the history of Scheveningen and the history of families from Scheveningen.
The association was established in 1982 as a club for genealogists to research people and families from Scheveningen. Over the course of time, the club has developed into an association with around 180 members who are no longer only concerned with genealogy. Many members are also concerned with researching the general history of Scheveningen, which resulted in an amendment of the association to include these activities as well. With this amendment, the association hopes to function as a place where all who value and wish to research the history of Scheveningen are welcome.
The Historical and Genealogical Society of Scheveningen works in close cooperation with Muzee Scheveningen and is located within the museum.
The centre is open for visitors on Saturdays from 13:00 to 16:00 PM.
